Hire St. Louis began in 2014 as an expansion to Mission: St. Louis' workforce development initiative.  Hire St. Louis is more than a staffing agency - it’s a catalyst to bridging relationships between our employees + your business.  We get to know our workers' passions + skillsets to help ensure we're sending the most qualified workers for your business.  Overall, we specialize in placing our employees in positions they're committed + dedicated to. Workers are funneled through Mission: St. Louis’ workforce development program, Beyond Jobs.

  • Pre-screened candidates: We look for candidates who are drug-free, have the right skill set for the job, are readily available + reliable.

  • Beyond Jobs training: Some candidates complete a several-week employment training program providing participants with on-the-job training + experience.

  • Weekly payroll: Easy online hours reporting; weekly payroll processed on-site.

  • Insurance: Our insurance plan covers all workers with comprehensive Workers Compensation Insurance.

  • Quick response: Immediate medical access for work-related accidents.

  • On-call support: Support team available to place workers on short notice + solve any issues that may arise.

We also offer the opportunity for a 6-week transitional job at your business to identify if our candidates(s) fit the culture + workflow before hiring. Through this we provide:

  • Generation + delivery of employee payroll checks weekly to employees

  • Payment + processing of workers' compensation insurance

  • Payment of unemployment compensation + taxes as may be required by the state of Missouri + the Federal Government

  • All deductions + wage garnishments mandated by the state of Missouri +/or federal government

  • Pre-employment 5-panel drug screening


Receive a tax credit

The Work Opportunity Tax Credit program provides federal income tax credits to businesses who hire employees from specific groups with barriers to employment. Credits range from $750 to $9,600 for different target groups.

New hires must be from one of these groups:

  • 16-17 year-old Empowerment Zone (EZ) recipients hired as summer employees

  • Veterans receiving food stamps, disabled veterans, or unemployed veterans

  • Long-term TANF recipients

  • Short-term recipients

  • 18-39 year-old food stamp recipients

  • Vocational rehabilitation referrals

  • 18-39 year-old EZ or Rural Renewal County (RRC) residents

  • Ex-felons

  • Supplemental security income recipients
